Volleyball Falls In Four Sets To Molloy

Score: Molloy College 3, Southern New Hampshire University 1
Records: Molloy 12-3 (3-0 ECC), SNHU 6-7 (1-1 NE10)

Freshman Juliana Pacini (Sao Paulo, Brazil) led the team with 16 kills, but the Southern New Hampshire University women's volleyball squad fell to Molloy College, 3-1, in what was a closely-contested match Friday evening. Set scores were 25-22, 19-25, 26-28 and 24-26.

  • Pacini – 16 kills, .180 hitting, 17 digs
  • Sophomore Ramona Fontaine (Chelsea, Mass.) -  9 kills
  • The Penmen won the first set, and had a chance to close out the third and fourth sets.
  • Molloy erased a 24-19 SNHU lead in the third set to take control of the match.
  • The Penmen served up 24-23 in the fourth set, but Molloy scored the game's final three points.
  • The 16 kills are the second most in a Penmen uniform for Pacini.
  • The Penmen are back in action Tuesday, Oct. 8 (7 p.m.) when they play at Assumption College.
  • The next home match will be on Saturday, Oct. 12 (4 p.m.) when SNHU will host Roberts Wesleyan.
