MANSFIELD, Mass. – Junior Hélène Servais (Brussels, Belgium) and freshman Lisa Hagel (Driehuis, The Netherlands) of the ninth-ranked Southern New Hampshire University field hockey team earned weekly recognition from the Northeast-10 Conference on Tuesday as the league announced its award recipients. Servais was named the NE10 Player of the Week while Hagel was tabbed the conference's Rookie of the Week.
Servais helped lead the Penmen to an unbeaten week with nine points in a pair of wins over Saint Michael's College and Mercy College. She opened the week with a two-goal, two-assist effort in an 8-1 victory over the Purple Knights before scoring once and adding a helper in a 5-1 triumph over the Mavericks on Friday.
Hagel recorded seven points last week to help Southern New Hampshire improve to 3-1. She registered the first hat trick of her career and added an assist in the 8-1 win over Saint Michael's on Wednesday, which moved her into a tie for the Northeast-10 Conference lead in points with 13.
Southern New Hampshire continues NE10 play Tuesday when it travels to Saint Michael's College for a 3:30 p.m. start.
