Maddy Barone of the Southern New Hampshire University softball team was named to the 2018 Google Cloud NCAA Division II Academic All-District Team Thursday, as chosen by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Barone landed a spot on the NCAA Division II District 1 Team.
Sarah Lavallee crushed a solo homer and allowed just one earned run over six innings, and third-seeded Southern New Hampshire University plated a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh to rally past sixth-seeded Pace University in walk off fashion, 3-2, in the opening round of the NCAA East 2 Regional on Thursday.
